Now transferred to Southend garage and carrying route 5 'Basildon Direct' branding for the short lived extension of the Southend to Basildon route into Lakside via Chadwell & Grays - the extension was supposed to cover for the withdrawn 383 but it didn't last long and route 5 was therefore Arriva's last commercially operated route in Thurrock.
