Excel Passenger Logistics is based at Stansted Airport in Essex, with additional
bases at Manchester and Gatwick. The company was started in 2003 and was sold
to Tellings Golden Miller, now part of Arriva, in April 2008.

They specialise in the provision of services to the rail and airline industries, as well
as operating local bus and school services.

The X3 service is operated under the banner of “Airport by coach”.

****Excel introduced a new timetable from 25th January 2010****
Coaches now generally depart Grays at xx05 past the odd hour rather than xx20 past
the even hour as they did previously, though the 0220 departure remains; the number
of journeys each day is reduced from 12 to 10 and the journey time remains 90 mins.

Daily departures from Grays are now:
0220, 0430, 0705, 0905, 1105, 1305, 1505, 1705, 1905, 2105
