Regal Busways started in 2001, based in Sussex and set up to cover rail replacement work. In 2002, the company moved to
Chelmsford in Essex with a view to changing the core business to stage carriage work.

The company now specialises in operating rural routes on behalf of Essex County Council and prides itself on it’s small local
company feel.

**Route 565 was extended from Bulphan to Grays via Orsett Hospital and Socketts Heath from 4th April 2011.**
